Oreburgh City (Japanese: クロガネシティ Kurogane City) is a city located in central Sinnoh. Oreburgh is first attainable via the Oreburgh Gate, which is to the due west of the urban center. This is one of two connecting routes to the city, the other being Route 207 to the city's due north. Oreburgh is a mining town blessed with significant natural resources. Prominent vents throughout the urban center exchange the dried air from the mines below with fresh, above-footing air.

Oreburgh City in the anime
Ash, Dawn, and Brock arrived in Oreburgh City in Shapes of Things to Come up!, where they met up with Paul again. Like Ash, Paul was in the city to claiming the Oreburgh Gym. His battle confronting the Gym Leader Roark ended in a victory for him and thus he earned the Coal Badge, his first Sinnoh League Bluecoat. Even afterwards winning, Paul remained in the city to lookout Ash's Gym boxing, which took place in the following episode. During the match, Ash was focusing too much on besting Paul and this affected his judgment. Equally a result, he lost in front of his main rival.

Diamond & Pearl chapter
Oreburgh Urban center first appeared in Putting a Crimp in Kricketot, where Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum arrived there. When Platinum went to check out the Oreburgh Mine, she was attacked by a swarm of Kricketot and Kricketune. Despite Platinum's Piplup fighting hard against the Bug types, the Penguin Pokémon was eventually overcome by their sheer numbers. In order to restore Piplup's wounded pride, Platinum decided to claiming the local Gym Leader, Roark.
In A Conk on Cranidos'due south Cranium, after some battle practice with Diamond and Pearl, Platinum challenged Roark at the Oreburgh Gym.
