When I open the file with yapped, my changes are notwithstanding there, simply there's no differencein game. Mods that use dll files brand changes to the game fine. When I make a alter to the regulation file, information technology makes a new file and renamed the one-time file regulation.bin that is a file type bak, which I presume is an automated backup file? I accept the anti cheat disabled, just it'due south like it's still reading the vanilla regulation file, even though I've moved the original to the desktop and renamed it.
SmoothBrainMonkey wrote: If I remember correctly this sounds like the regulation.bin doesn't lucifer your game version, that's an event I had at one point too. Case of a game and regulation version on the same patch (1.03.X)In a nutshell, Elden Ring has a 'game version' which is managed/updated by Steam and a 'calibration version' which is specific to the regulation.bin file. If yous're on Game Version 1.04.X but your regulation.bin is from game version 1.03.Ten so editing regulation.bin doesn't do anything in game I think
Not sure if we had the aforementioned consequence past I stock-still mine by: (1) Mass Consign Data from Yapped while my regulation.bin was open that had all the changes I want, only weren't appearing in-game (ii) Delete regulation.bin from Elden Ring directory (3) Verify integrity of game files from Steam (3) Open the fresh regulation.bin upwardly in Yapped (4) Mass Import Data
Substantially, this retrieves a known-good, working regulation.bin and then reapplies the changse you want to information technology
Also, aye! .bak == backup file of regulation.bin that is automatically created
Thanks!! That solved it! Yous're the best, I really capeesh your through walkthrough :)

Since the 27th of Apr my edits to my regulation.bin have non worked I tried these steps multiple times... & so far no luck...my app version is 1.04.one & calibrations version is 1.04.ii, & when I open regulation.bin with yapped the changes are at that place. I apply Modernistic Engine 2 also & all the stuff that uses Mod Engine 2 works fine. Anyone have suggestions to aid me out?

You could have the incorrect regulation.bin open up in Yapped? If you opened a regulation.bin from some mod and didn't re-open and make sure your changes are saved over the regulation.bin in your game directory binder, that would cause this exact issue.
The best all-purpose troubleshooting I know of is (1) export all your Params so they're safety due north audio (ii) back up any data you lot care nigh (3) delete regulation.bin (4) verify integrity of game files in Steam (v) open the fresh regulation.bin Steam gave yous in Yapped (5a) Import your Params (5b) brand sure all Params were actually imported (six) Ctrl + Southward to save changes (7) Game on, gamer
If that doesn't work I'thou not sure what'south up :(

Thanks for the help, seems similar it is working now...even though I thought I followed the same instructions 2 or 3 times earlier. perhaps I derped up 1 step & something didn't save correctly. I'll jump on subsequently today for an extended period to run into if it is fully modded. Elden Ring is such a good RP world now I can finally finish all the stuffs at my heart's content...
Thank YOU!

The mod author would need to tell you which Params they edit
Well... Technically....
You lot could Mass Export all Params from a Vanilla, un-edited regulation.bin to get vanilla .csv files, then open the mod'due south regulation.bin and Mass Export to become the modified .csv files, then use some kind of tool to compare the .csv files and see what the differences are but that's pretty tedious. It is 10000 times easier to ask the modder
Every bit for pace 12 the folder structure for Yapped keeps irresolute with every update. I don't know what the electric current binder construction looks like, this tutorial is actually simply applicative for Yapped i.10 not 2.0 and after
